Awesome looking car, way ahead of its time! When it arrived on the automotive scene in 1976, the Rover SD1 caused nothing short of a sensation. Combining hints of Ferrari Daytona styling with a range capable engines and a spacious interior that offered more space than British cars costing many times more, the SD1 went on to sell more than 300,000 examples over the course of its lifetime.
Yet on our side of the pond, with just over 1,100 cars sold in the U.S. during a single model year, the Rover 3500 was a rare bird, indeed. Keeping one running nowadays requires quite a bit of effort, especially given the low parts supply here in America.
